For the past ten years, there has been one place to celebrate Thanksgiving "my house". I cooked
2 turkeys and many Haitian dishes including diri ak Djondjon which is a our national rice with unseen mushroom or black rice to be precise. I had over 20 people not including children running around the house. My guess bought deserts and other dishes to contribute to the dinner. The temperature was pleasant which was about 61 degrees Fahrenheit
perhaps perfect for an outdoor party.
I am grateful for my family, my wonderful friends and most of all my health.

Speaking about diri ak Djondjon, you make me hungry. That's one of my favorite food. I call it Diri nwa(Black rice). I like to eat that food with fish.
