Jupiter's Icy Moon
The color variations across the cracked surface indicate the surface geology. Blue and white areas contain relatively pure water ice. Reddish and brownish areas contain high concentrations of non-ice materials.
This is nature at his best. I love reading about certain mysterious sites around the world.
Most people can not wait to get rich but me I can 't wait to see the world. Ever since I was a little girl I have been wanting to visit India and Egypt and next year this dream will become a really for one of them. in 2017 after my graduation I will board a plane to Egypt which is the trip that I am mostly excited about.
Giving thanks
For the past ten years, there has been one place to celebrate Thanksgiving "my house". I cooked
2 turkeys and many Haitian dishes including diri ak Djondjon which is a our national rice with unseen mushroom or black rice to be precise. I had over 20 people not including children running around the house. My guess bought deserts and other dishes to contribute to the dinner. The temperature was pleasant which was about 61 degrees Fahrenheit
perhaps perfect for an outdoor party.
I am grateful for my family, my wonderful friends and most of all my health.

Kairos
Kairos is a time when conditions are right for the accomplishment of a crucial action: the opportune and decisive moment.
Example: After getting promoted at work, it was kairos for me to go back to school.

Why We Love to Gossip
Their are pros and cons of talking about other people, for men and women.
It is almost certain that deep in our past, a group of Mesolithic humans stood around a fresh kill, talking about someone who wasn't holding up his end of the hunting and gathering.
Being cautious with gossip would be common sense, but the lure of being in the loop can be seductive, and stepping out of it is a difficult call because gossip is a standard currency of human connection. A research team from the University of Amsterdam found that 90 percent of total office conversation qualifies as gossip. Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology concluded that gossip makes up 15 percent of office e-mail.
Why do we do it? Perhaps a better question is, Why do we love it?
Anthropologists believe that throughout human history, gossip has been a way for us to bond with others -- and sometimes a tool to isolate those who aren't supporting the group.
Some argue that, at least in the workplace, gossip serves a useful purpose. Northeastern University professor Dr. Jack Levin, author of Gossip: The Inside Scoop, says it can actually be good for our emotional health. (He makes an exception for the weapons-grade rumor-mongering that destroys reputations.) In general, he believes, gossip is a force that ties together social and business networks. Others identify it as a way to see behind the curtain of employer pronouncements.
Both research and the experiences of those who have been the targets of gossip, however, argue that gossip can hurt relationships and create a climate of fear and resentment, all of which feeds stress like humidity feeds a storm. And workplace stress, multiple studies show, causes problems ranging from a decline in productivity to a rise in illness and absenteeism.
The question of whether women gossip more than men, and suffer more accordingly, immediately trips over a familiar double standard: What women call gossip men might call just shooting the breeze. And yet differences in how men and women communicate would suggest that the impact of gossip is uneven: Studies show that women use far more words during the day than men do, and, especially woman-to-woman, those words tend to be personal. The bartering of intimacies -- I share-you share -- is the adhesive of female friendship. While women tend to bond over feelings, men tend to bond over activities -- with limited intimacy. It's no surprise that this difference in communication style translates to differences in how the genders gossip. For women, it tends to be personal: "I can't believe how she interrupts people at meetings." For men, it's more likely to be about status: "Did you hear Ted bought a Mercedes?"
The darkest side of gossip emerges when it becomes the weapon -- whether deployed by equal rivals fighting for a position, or by a senior executive protecting her territory.
Most employers understand the disruption workplace gossip can cause, but there is little they can do beyond encouraging open communication. No-gossip policies or zones quickly run into conflicts with free speech and workplace rights, to say nothing of the nightmare prospect of determining what was actually said to whom, and whether it had malicious intent.
It's a fact of life: Where there are groups, there will be gossip. It's how we're wired. But in the workplace, what's natural can also be harmful -- to morale, productivity, and careers.
The best practice is to "Mirandize" yourself: Simply assume that anything you say can and will be used against you.

A little patient
How do one remain patient in a turmoil situation? Working in
corporate America can be extremely difficult sometimes. You have to learn
how to deal with power hungry co-workers and the one that are
waiting for the best opportunity to prove their ability or intelligence,
therefore you have to become an expert on what you do in other for you to
remain relevant. People will try not to give you credit when credit is due. Years
ago, I had a manager who fired me because she felt that I wasn’t smart enough
to be in her department. Now, the table turn and I become the person that
supervises her work.

The 1% club
The rich keep getting richer, and apparently whole true when it comes to estimates of their wealth. While the top percent of U.S earners had been thought to control 30 percent of the country's total wealth, it turns out that might be a lowball estimate, according to a new working paper from a European Central Bank senior economist. There may be a problem with that 30 percent figure, given that wealthier households are less likely to respond to surveys about their assets than lower income families. I recently read on Forbes List, they estimated that share of wealth controlled by America's top 1 percent is between 35 percent and 37 percent. Please tell how crazy this estimate sound what about the rest of us. I greatly invested in my future by going back to school to get a better education, would that give me an opportunity to be part of that one percent? Nahhhh!!!

The power of politeness
Here are some great tips on how to be more polite:
1. Seek first to understand. If you know the other person’s frame of reference, you can speak to him/her within it.
2. Pay attention to how your words are landing. If your companion’s response looks off the mark for what you said, check out what he/she is hearing....
3. Switch from problem to solution as quickly as possible. Focus on the problem only long enough to understand it—then move your attention to finding a solution that would work for everyone, rather than who’s right or wrong.
4. Separate emotion from solution. If one or both of you are upset, irrational or reactive, you aren’t communicating. Take a break and try again in a few minutes, when both of you have calmed down.
5. Don’t beat dead horses. If you’ve been over the same ground several times with no forward movement, get some help. An objective third party can work wonders.
6. Be nice. Strive to create a cooperative atmosphere, and consider the other person’s feelings.
7. Remember, “what goes around, comes around” and consider how you’d like to be treated before reacting to someone else.

Meditation
Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself.
Meditation is often used to clear the mind and ease many health issues, such as high blood pressure,[ depression, and anxiety. It may be done sitting, or in an active way—for instance, Buddhist monks involve awareness in their day-to-day activities as a form of mind-training. Prayer beads or other ritual objects are commonly used during meditation in order to keep track of or remind the practitioner about some aspect of the training. As an accountant by day and a student by night I encounter many difficulties perhaps meditation might be the best stress relief for me.

Education
Is it me? I feel as of people respect you more once they find out, either you have a college education or a high earning employment. Recently, my friend and I went to a very well-known bank to open a saving’s account. We signed in and waited for someone to help us, we were greeted by a very nice specialist. The specialist was being shadowing by a new branch manager. The manager was not giving us any type of special attention until she find out how much he was transferring to the new bank account that day. Her curiosity lead her to ask my friend several unusual question which he was nice and respectful enough to answer. She seems puzzle then asked me what I did for living, I told her and then she asked my friend. He replied, he was a lawyer. She was taking back a little, perhaps my friend did not fit the stereotype of a lawyer. He was Caucasian with dreads, funny right? Then, the interrogation came to an abrupt silence after all he is a lawyer. Her whole persona changed and begin to offer us the best deals the bank has to offer.

Luck
Do you believe in luck? Growing
up, I thought luck was something that happen to you with no effort or hard
work. As I get older I realized how hard someone have to work in other to
receive a little luck. For instance, we are trying to get an education, we have
to study extremely hard and give our best so we can pass every class that we
take. The sacrifices we made in our life just to be here every day will be
rewarded not by luck but hard work. We will find the dream job by going to
agencies and sending numerous application with tons of interviews. After
preparing for all of that than one day with a little luck something great will
come alone.
